Hay King Fahd, Makkah — between the 3rd and 4th ring roads, 15 to 25 minutes by car from the Haram.
Under four years old — the newer of our two buildings.
Iskan sits nearer a larger street, beside an open park where food stalls and coffee vendors set up at weekends, and more so through the winter and Ramadan. Lively at those times of year rather than quiet. Every apartment is double glazed, so inside stays calm.
There is parking in the ground-floor garage, with a door straight through into the lobby where the lift is. No steps, and roughly 20 to 30 feet from the car to the lift door. If someone in your party cannot manage stairs, tell us before you book and we will describe the route honestly rather than guess at whether it suits them.
Check-in is self-service from 3pm — access details, directions and photographs are sent before you travel, so you can let yourself in at any hour.
“The great reward for performing prayer can be obtained in all mosques in the entire area within the boundaries of the Haram.”
Royal Commission for Makkah City and Holy Sites — official statement, reported in English by Saudi Gazette. The Commission runs an annual campaign on this, مكة كلها حرم — Saudi Press Agency.
Our buildings lie west-south-west of the Kaaba at 5.7 and 6.2 km. The boundary runs much further out on that side than it does to the north, so this part of Makkah sits well within it — and praying at a local mosque is a normal part of how people staying here organise their days.

The newer fittings and interiors of the two. Rabwa building has the opposite advantage: the more generous room sizes — noticeably larger bedrooms. They are a few minutes apart in the same district, so the drive to the Haram is the same from either — the choice is about the flat, not the location.
